When communicating about hospital patient monitors, the standard is to demonstrate the latest screens, buttons and widgets. But from their position as global market leader, Philips understands that even their most advanced monitors need to serve the people who use them. Together, we seized the opportunity to campaign for what matters most: the nurses who use these monitors to deliver care.
Elleton 'Mickey' McCullough, 78, has been inspiring nurses for generations.
Meet Mickey
We were looking for a special nurse to star in this campaign. And we found her: Elleton 'Mickey' McCullough. At 78, she's still actively educating and inspiring new nurses.
The idea
To coincide with Nurses Week 2024, we launched – together with our Omnicom colleagues – ‘The Gift of Experience. A campaign that tells the inspiring story of an amazing lady and inspirational nurse.
We flew to Winston Salem, North Carolina to shoot this special video. Meeting Mickey's friends, family, mentees and colleagues. Not only that, but we also arranged a wonderful celebration that brought together many of her old students and mentees. Giving them a chance to say thank you for a lifetime of giving.
